Global Wind Service has completed installation of 24 GE 5.5 MW turbines in WindplanBlauw, a nearshore wind farm located in the Ijsselmeer, Netherlands.
The project is developed and owned by SwifterwinT and Vattenfall AB.
GE Vernova selected Global Wind Service as its partner for pre-assembly, main installation and mechanical and electrical completion works. Pre-assembly took place at Alaskahaven Amsterdam and the main installation at Ijsselmeer.
“It was a challenging project, but thanks to the great teamwork together with GE, we managed to make it a success,” says Global Wind Service’s Jeroen Tiemes.
The project took approximately 120,000 working hours with two established teams.
