WindMade, which was launched in 2011 as a label to designate companies powered by wind energy, is developing a new label for companies and products made using other forms of renewable energy.
The new label will recognize a wide variety of renewable energy sources, including wind, solar and geothermal, as well as hydropower and biomass from approved certification schemes.
A handful of major global companies – including Motorola, Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank, Widex, and Becton, Dickinson and Co. – have already adopted the WindMade label.
The new label is under development and will be launched in 2013.
