Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based FMC GlobalSat Holdings Inc., a satellite communications and wireless services provider, has appointed Peder Hansen its renewable energy accounts manager.
Hansen, a wind industry veteran, is charged with building FMC GlobalSat’s brand and reach in renewable energy, including the wind and solar markets.
FMC GlobalSat provides satellite communications solutions to the renewable energy industry, including Kymeta communication solutions, thanks to a recently announced partnership. The company configures, integrates and deploys Kymeta solutions to support the renewable energy market by leveraging 53 satellites, eight teleports, 20,000 miles of fiber optic, and 24/7 technical support with 56 points of presence in 37 cities globally.

Before joining FMC GlobalSat, Hansen was senior sales engineer and blade production planning and inventory control at GE Wind Energy. Before GE, Hansen was executive vice president at NorthStar Wind Towers and global sales manager of wind energy for Valmont, where he was responsible for bringing wind tower designs to the market.
