Automodular Corp. – a supplier of sub-assembly, sequencing and transportation services to the renewable energy and automotive industries – has officially opened its new wind energy assembly facility in Branford, Ontario.
At the facility, Automodular will sub-assemble certain wind turbine components for Vestas Nacelles A/S. At the peak of the contract with Vestas, the facility will employ about 40 personnel, according to Automodular. The work undertaken at the facility will help Vestas meet the domestic-content requirements under Ontario's feed-in-tariff program.
