Wind Energy Conversion Systems Electric Supply (WECSREP), a wind energy conversion systems provider headquartered in Palm Springs, Calif., has signed an agreement with Waukegan, Ill.-headquartered Yaskawa, a subsidiary of Yaskawa Electric Corp. of Japan.
The agreement is intended to further the involvement of Yaskawa in the national wind energy conversion systems marketplace, according to WECSREP and Yaskawa. Yaskawa manufactures medium-voltage switches for use in substations and pole-line applications on wind farms. These products will be sold through typical utility and wind energy channels nationwide.
