Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order to deliver offshore wind turbines for the first phase of RWE’s Germany Nordseecluster project.
The company was selected as preferred supplier for the first- and second-phase 1.6 GW cluster in February 2023, and the conditional contract for the two phases was signed in May.
Vestas is set to supply, install and commission a total 44 V236 15 MW turbines for the project. The work scope also includes a five-year service agreement followed by an operational support agreement.
Delivery and commissioning of the turbines are expected to take place in 2026.
