NorthWestern Energy has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for up to 45 MW of renewable energy generation that will qualify under Montana's community renewable resource statutory requirement.
The RFP is intended to identify resources that can help NorthWestern Energy meet its obligations to procure cost-effective renewable energy from community-owned projects in Montana.
Under current statutory requirements, NorthWestern Energy anticipates an additional need for community renewable energy projects starting in 2013. The utility encourages new and existing local developers to submit qualifying projects that provide a homegrown renewable energy resource for the benefit of its electricity consumers in Montana.
The RFP can be accessed here. The deadline for proposals is Sept. 28.
