Noordzeker, a collaboration of ABP, APG and SSE Renewables, has been selected by the Dutch authorities to progress with their bid in the 2 GW Alpha offshore wind tender site in the IJmuiden Ver Wind Farm Zone.
The consortium is set now to look at refining the project ahead of a decision on progress development, due next month. The project would then be subject to a final investment decision, expected next year.
The Dutch government tender process for the site invited proposals focused on making a positive contribution to nature. The consortium says it put forward a set of measures that would mitigate ecological impacts while increasing biodiversity.
