The Snohomish County, Washington, Public Utility District (PUD) is seeking proposals for renewable energy projects to meet continued customer growth throughout its service area. The PUD is interested in purchasing up to approximately 100 average MW from renewable resources, including wind, tidal, solar, biomass, landfill gas and geothermal. Minimum project size is 5 MW. The PUD expects it will need to add energy resources to its portfolio in the 2008-2012 time frame.
In assessing project proposals, the PUD says that it will give preference to the most economical and reliable renewable resources, which fulfill several criteria: compatibility with resource needs, cost, risk management, public benefits, and strategic and financial considerations.
Deadline: Oct. 1
