Florida-based Seminole Electric Cooperative is posting a request for proposals (RFP) from qualified entities to provide up to 1,000 MW of firm capacity beginning as early as June 1, 2021.

Seminole has identified a need for capacity of 600 MW by June 2021, with total needs increasing to 1,000 MW in June 2022 and thereafter. Seminole encourages proposals of base, intermediate, peaking or renewable capacity. Proposals providing demand-side options will also be considered for evaluation. Seminole is also evaluating self-build alternatives for the identified capacity needs.

The RFP lists all applicable forms and schedules, including a required “Bidder Qualification Questionnaire.” Interested parties should read the RFP thoroughly and completely to ensure that any submissions meet all of Seminole’s requirements for consideration.
