0

Sanmina Corp. and Primus Power have announced a manufacturing agreement to produce grid-scale energy storage systems.

Sanmina is an integrated manufacturing solutions company that provides a broad range of products for the energy markets, including the wind and solar power sectors. Primus Power has developed a distributed energy storage system called an EnergyPod. As part of the agreement, Sanmina will assemble and test EnergyPods at its Silicon Valley manufacturing facilities.

"For complex grid-scale energy storage technology, it's an added advantage to find a manufacturing partner with a deep understanding of our customers' technical priorities and extensive reach into the energy ecosystem," says Primus Power CEO Tom Stepien. "Furthermore, Sanmina's global footprint will enable us to distribute worldwide. We anticipate a long and mutually beneficial collaboration.’

Primus Power says its customers, including municipal and investor-owned utilities, will start receiving EnergyPods in the coming months.
