Revolve Renewable Power Corp. has announced the proposed acquisition of WindRiver Power Corp., a Canadian owner, operator and developer of wind and hydro projects in British Columbia and Alberta.
The acquisition will add 96.63 MW of net operational and development capacity to Revolve’s portfolio, accelerating its expansion into the Canadian market and bringing with it a highly experienced operations and development team.
“We are delighted to reach agreement for our first acquisition in the Canadian market,” says Steve Dalton, CEO of Revolve. “As we outlined in our updated corporate presentation a number of weeks ago, the acquisition of operating assets is a key part of our strategy to accelerate the transition of the company to an owner/operator business model.”
WindRiver was established in 2008 and holds equity interests in projects such as Box Springs, located in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
