The Spanish government has drafted a regulation to require the installation of 1.4 GW of wind energy annually between 2013 and 2020, according to a Reuters report.
According to the draft obtained by Reuters, the Spanish government aims to have a total of 3.5 GW of wind energy operating in 2020.
In addition, the draft regulation sets a new remuneration system for wind power facilities, in which installations will sell their energy at pool prices and receive a premium, but only if the combined premium and the pool price falls within a minimum and maximum limit, according to the Reuters report.
