REpower Notes Company Milestone In Quebec

0

With the recent commissioning of the 24.6 MW Viger-Denonville community wind farm in Quebec, which features 12 REpower turbines, Suzlon Group's subsidiary REpower Systems SE notes it has installed more than 550 MW of wind power in the province within two years.

The company says the achievement further cements its position in the Quebec wind market. By now, REpower says three out of five of its major Quebec wind farm projects are completed, including Lac Alfred (300 MW), Massif du Sud (150 MW) and Saint-Robert-Bellarmin (80 MW). These projects are part of a 1 GW framework agreement with EDF EN Canada.

Apart from Viger-Denonville, REpower will supply two other community wind farms of 24.6 MW each in 2014: La Mitis and Le Granit.
