PPL Electric Issues RFP For Tier II Alternative Energy Credits

PPL Electric Utilities, a PPL Corp. subsidiary providing electric delivery service for more than 1.4 million homes and businesses in Pennsylvania, is seeking to procure over 175,000 Tier II alternative energy credits.

The default service provider says it is looking to meet Pennsylvania’s Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard by purchasing and providing generation supply for its customers who do not choose alternative suppliers. Through April and October auctions, PPL Electric Utilities seeks to replace expiring contracts semi-annually.

Qualification materials must be received by March 21 at 12 p.m. EST. Interested parties can obtain more information about the RFP by going here or contacting Ben Chee at either (215) 568-0200 or (914) 473-8870.
