In an effort to expand its business activities in the North American renewable energy market – particularly for offshore wind – renewable energy consulting firm PMSS has opened a second U.S.-based office and has hired Tanjia Maynard as environmental, health and safety (EHS) consultant dedicated to offshore wind.
According to PMSS, Maynard's primary focus will be on the developing offshore wind sector, as well as on consulting for terrestrial wind, wave and tidal energy projects. A graduate in geology from the State University of New York, Maynard has more than 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, EHS management and project management. Previously, she was offshore wind project manager for AWS Truepower.
A member of the American Wind Energy Association'a Offshore Wind Health & Safety Subcommittee, Maynard has worked to develop standards and EHS best practices, PMSSÂ notes.
