OEG Renewables has signed a contract with Strategic Marine for the order of a new build crew transfer vessel (CTV), to support the company’s offshore operations in the Asia Pacific region.
The vessel, due to be named Wey Feng, is a BMT-designed, 27-meter aluminum catamaran and will be the fourth StratCat 27 vessel built by Strategic Marine to join the OEG Renewables fleet. The CTV is powered by two Caterpillar C32 1450hp marine engines and has a fuel capacity of 35,000 liters. It is due for delivery to Taiwan in February.
“We are delighted to welcome the Wey Feng to our growing fleet,” says Michael James, general manager for OEG Renewables’ Marine service line. “The StratCat 27 has proven very successful on a number of projects in Taiwan already and this latest addition will bolster our regional operations.”
OEG Renewables is part of OEG Group.
