The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has released a request for proposals (RFP) in support of research to mitigate wildlife impacts at wind sites.
The RFP, entitled “Technology Development and Innovation for Addressing Wind Wildlife Operational Challenges,” seeks researchers and technology companies to develop “wildlife monitoring and minimization technologies for use at wind energy facilities.”
NREL awarded two projects under a similar solicitation in January 2018.
