TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and MOL Marine & Engineering have launched a suite of simulator-based training courses that the companies say are tailored for marine vessels involved in offshore wind farm development.
The courses are designed for a broad industry audience and are set to leverage MOL’s Dynamic Positioning Simulator, with the aim of supporting the development of skills related to the safe operation of offshore vessels.
The project is subsidized by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, a branch of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The training courses were independently developed independently under the Offshore Wind Power Human Resource Development Project.
