The Idaho Senate narrowly defeated a measure to extend a sales tax rebate for renewable energy in the state, Bloomberg Businessweek reports.
The legislation, which was defeated by a vote of 18-17, would have given renewable energy companies a 6% break on energy production equipment through 2014. The vote affects 18 wind projects that are in advanced stages of development. The tax break now expires on June 30.
