The Laramie County Community College (LCCC) wind energy program offers three options:
– a basic wind technician certificate can be obtained in one semester or less,
– an intermediate wind technician certificate can be obtained in two semesters or less, and
– an associate of science with a concentration on wind energy can be obtained in four semesters.
Initial program courses currently are available, and wind energy courses will be available in the fall of 2008. The program will make use of LCCC's integrated systems training center on the main Cheyenne campus and the newly installed wind turbine on the Albany County campus in Laramie.
