Husch Blackwell LLP and Brown McCarroll LLP have announced they will merge and move forward together in all markets as Husch Blackwell LLP. With the addition of Brown McCarroll's Austin, Dallas and Houston locations, the new firm has offices in 16 cities, more than 600 attorneys and a staff of 750 employees.
Husch Blackwell notes that the combination of the two firms creates a larger, more diverse Energy group than either firm had previously. (Brown McCarroll has worked in electric market development and restructuring for over 25 years; Husch Blackwell has a long history advising in the development, acquisition and financing of energy assets and in the achievement of regulatory, policy and legislative goals.)
