KF Wind, a floating offshore wind project being developed off the coast of Ulsan, South Korea, by Ocean Winds and Mainstream, has secured a transmission service agreement with Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) for 1,125 MW to be injected into the country’s national grid.
The agreement covers the 375 MW first phase of the project, East Blue Power, and the 750 MW second phase, KF Wind, with the interconnection point for the project located at KEPCO’s Shinonsan onshore station in Ulsan.
Mainstream Renewable Power is majority-owned by Aker Horizons.
