K2 Management has been appointed by Cordelio Power to deliver project and construction management for the 185 MW Glacier Sands wind farm in Illinois.
K2 Management previously supported the project during its late-stage development and pre-construction phases. Through the new role, K2 Management will perform construction management until commercial operation. The scope of work includes managing project stakeholders, site activities, OEMs and contractors.
Paul Rapp, vice president of operations and project development at Cordelio Power, says, “Glacier Sands is a significant part of Cordelio Power’s commitment to clean energy growth in the Midwestern U.S. We appointed K2 Management’s experienced team to leverage its deep technical expertise and project delivery know-how through development and construction of this project.”
Glacier Sands, situated in Mason County, is expected to complete construction in late 2021. It recently received financing coordinated by Rabobank.
