India-based Inox Wind Ltd. has secured an order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL) for a 50 MW wind power project at Lahori in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Inox will supply and install 25 units of its 2 MW turbines – featuring doubly fed induction generator technology and a 120-meter rotor diameter – for TPREL on a turnkey basis. The project will be a part of the 200 MW Inox Wind Park.
The order is TPREL's third project with Inox Wind after two previous orders of 172 MW.
TPREL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company, and has approximately 300 MW of commissioned renewable assets. Tata Power, including TPREL's capacities, has a commissioned capacity of more than 500 MW of wind and solar assets.
Inox Wind will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, as well as operations and maintenance services for a multi-year period following commissioning.
