Ignitis Group has chosen to participate in the second offshore wind tender for the rights to develop 700 MW of offshore wind capacity in the Lithuanian Baltic Sea.
The company is also seeking a partner for the project for a 49% stake in the deal.
The tender is slated to start in November, with the winner expected to be announced by the National Energy Regulatory Council, which is overseeing the process, by next April.
If no partners are selected by the end of the tender, the group will participate in the tender without partners and continue the selection process in parallel.
