Houston-based WindCom (Wind Composite Services Group), a blade services company serving the global wind industry, has promoted industry veteran Gary Kanaby to general manager for North America.
According to WindCom, Kanaby has spent the past 16 years involved in the wind blade manufacturing and service business.
For the last three years, he has been WindCom’s commercial manager, growing the company’s market share in wind blade services with owners and operators. Previously, he served as director of sales for wind energy at Molded Fiber Glass Cos. (MFG Wind and MFG Energy Services), and prior to that, he launched Knight & Carver Wind Group.
WindCom employs more than 100 certified composite wind repair technicians who provide fast-response, on-site composite repairs and maintenance for wind blades, including new sites, retrofits and inspections.
