Entrion Wind is exploring the feasibility of FRP monopile foundation technology with Simply Blue Group, which would extend the water depth and favorable economics of monopiles up to 100 meters.
The joint study is expected to evaluate both the technical and economic feasibility of the FRP technology in 60-to-80-meter waters and make comparisons to alternative foundation options. It will also optimize the FRP configuration based on integrated engineering, fabrication, installation as well as operations and maintenance assessment.
