EDP Renewables North America LLC (EDPR), a fully owned subsidiary of EDP Renováveis SA, has secured two 15-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with an undisclosed commercial and industrial entity to sell the energy produced from its 125 MW Timber Road IV wind project.
The Timber Road IV wind farm, located in Ohio, is expected to start operations in 2019.
EDPR has now signed 2.2 GW of long-term wind agreements in the U.S. for projects to be installed in 2016-2020, which is above the company’s target of 1.8 GW.
