Ecowende has chosen Vestas as the turbine supplier for its future offshore farm on Hollandse Kust (west) site VI, approximately 53 km off the coast of IJmuiden.
Vestas will supply 52 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines for the project and maintain them for 15 years under the cooperation agreement signed on Dec. 19. Installation of the wind turbines is scheduled to start in the first half of 2026.
“We are pleased to announce this agreement with Vestas for the supply and maintenance of the wind turbines on Hollandse Kust West,” says Folkert Visser, Ecowende CEO and project director at Ecowende.
“Thanks to Vestas’ extensive experience with offshore wind, we are confident that we will be able to develop and operate the Ecowende wind farm safely, on time and in compliance with all energy production targets. In addition, we look forward to working with Vestas to implement the ecological measures that make Ecowende so special.”
Hollandse Kust is a Shell and Eneco partnership.
