Damen Shipyards Group has delivered the third in an order of three Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 2710 Hybrid vessels to Purus, which the company says have been designed to provide low-emission crew transfer services to the offshore wind sector.
The vessels are fitted with 190 kW battery arrays that the company adds enable the vessels to sail zero emissions while in harbor and when loitering at offshore farms.
Purus currently has a further eight vessels on order with Damen: a 90 meter Commissioning Service Operations Vessel, three FCS 3210 vessels and four additional FCS 2710 Hybrids.
“We are very pleased to have delivered these three vessels to Purus and by initial reports of their strong performance,” says Damen’s Frederik van der Linde.

Damen will support and service the vessels via their hub in Southampton, U.K.
