Correll Group’s electrical engineering division has secured a contract with Hellenic Cables for the termination and testing of the inter-array cables on the turbines and offshore substation for Revolution Wind’s 704 MW offshore farm.

Revolution Wind, a joint venture between Ørsted and Eversource, is set to provide 400 MW of energy to Rhode Island and 304 MW to Connecticut when operational, expected next year.

The wind project is located approximately 15 miles south of the Rhode Island coast, 32 miles southeast of the Connecticut coast and 12 miles southwest of Martha’s Vineyard.

“The Revolution Wind project creates thousands of direct, indirect and induced jobs, in Connecticut and Rhode Island, and the entire team at Correll are extremely proud of our role in supporting the overall growth and development of the U.S. offshore wind sector,” says Sam Dowey, Correll’s managing director.
