Work on Amprion’s DolWin4 and BorWin4 offshore grid connections has started in Germany, with construction camps being set up in Wietmarschen.
Amprion, as transmission system operator, is connecting offshore wind farms to the power grid with the combined 1.8 GW projects. It commissioned the Tief4 consortium to carry out the work on the approximately 12-kilometer section.
The largely parallel offshore grid connection systems for DolWin4 and BorWin4 are both scheduled to go into operation in 2028.
