The U.S. Coast Guard has initiated a public comment period for proposed temporary safety zones during facilities construction within the Revolution Wind Farm project area, located approximately 17 miles southeast of Point Judith, R.I.
The proposal would establish 67 temporary safety zones with a 500-meter radius surrounding 65 wind turbines and two offshore substations. These would be enforced individually as construction progresses from one structure location to the next between this June and May 2027.
All comments are due by April 22.
