Austin Energy has issued a request for proposals (RFP) of up to 200 MW from wind and solar resources for terms of no less than one year and up to 25 years, beginning in the fourth quarter of this year. This RFP is seeking term sheet proposals from all interested parties that currently own, are constructing or developing, or have rights to wind and/or solar renewable energy generating facilities.
Austin Energy seeks utility-scale (10 MW or larger) wind and solar renewable energy resources, as defined by the Substantive Rules of the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
Proposers may make offers for all or a portion of the total megawatts desired from one or more projects. Proposers may submit more than one proposal and may submit multiple offers from the same generating facility.
RFP responses are due by 5 p.m. on March 4.
