Aeris Energy has extended its contract with Vestas to supply the Danish company with wind blades until the end of 2028.

The contract’s amendment provides for a potential increase in supplying wind blades of various models in a capacity equivalent to 8.8 GW. It also includes a renegotiation of this year’s contracted volumes.

“We are excited about the partnership with Vestas and the long-term growth prospects for the wind energy sector,” says Alexandre Negrao, CEO of Aeris.

The companies have partnered since 2015, with Aeris delivering wind blades resulting in more than 8.5 GW for the global and domestic markets.
