American Electric Power (AEP) subsidiary Public Service Co. of Oklahoma (PSO) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) seeking long-term purchases of up to 200 MW of new wind energy resources.
According to the RFP, proposals must rely on wind projects that are in advanced stage of development and capable of taking advantage of the federal production tax credits to buy-down the cost of energy bid to PSO. The delivery period would begin on Jan. 1, 2016, and any contracts entered into as a result of this RFP would be subject to approvals from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
A pre-bid conference call for potential bidders will be conducted June 19, with proposals to be submitted by July 1. More RFP information can be found here.
