The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) has appointed two new members to its board of directors: Vikas Agrawal, head of the alternative energy investing group at Goldman Sachs, and Gaurav Raniwala, global head of renewable energy at GE Energy Financial Services (EFS).

“We are thrilled to add such accomplished energy professionals as Vikas and Gaurav to ACORE’s board of directors,” says Gregory Wetstone, ACORE’s president and CEO. “Their expertise and experience will be tremendously helpful to our work accelerating America’s transition to renewable energy.”

Agrawal has worked at Goldman Sachs for over 12 years. The Goldman Sachs alternative energy investing group is a dedicated platform deploying capital in the alternative energy sector through a range of financing solutions.

Raniwala leads EFS’ global renewables team, which is responsible for underwriting and structuring investments in the global renewable energy sector. EFS supports GE’s renewable energy customers and projects across the world.

“ACORE is an impactful organization, and its work encourages investments in support of U.S. renewable energy,” says Raniwala. “As a leading renewable energy investor and tax equity provider, I am honored to represent GE on the board and look forward to collaborating with our industry colleagues to drive ACORE’s mission to accelerate the transition to renewable energy.”
