Vestas has expanded its presence in the Mexican market with a 99 MW order for the 49.5 MW La Mesa and 49.5 MW Ciudad Victoria wind power farms to be located in Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Vestas has received a 99 MW order from Isolux de Mexico SA to supply 30 Vestas V112-3.3 MW wind turbines.
The contract includes the supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, as well as a 15-year service agreement. Wind turbine delivery is expected during the fourth quarter, and commissioning is planned for the third quarter of 2016.
This is the second contract that Vestas signed in Tamaulipas this month, following the 149 MW order for the Tres Mesas project on May 8.
Upon completion, La Mesa and Ciudad Victoria are expected to produce about 367,000 MWh annually.
