Vestas has received a firm and unconditional order to supply and install 25 units of V136-3.45 MW wind turbines for what the company says will be Greece’s largest wind farm.

Totaling 90 MW, the turbines will be installed for customer Eltech Anemos S.A. at the Kassidiaris wind park complex in the region of Epirus, located in northwestern Greece. Delivered in 3.6 MW power-optimized mode, the turbines will be the first V136-3.45 MW units installed in the country, notes Vestas.

The contract comprises the supply and installation of the wind turbines, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 4000 service agreement to optimize energy output. Vestas expects delivery to occur in the first quarter of 2018.

In total, Vestas has installed roughly 1.3 GW of wind turbines in Greece. In 2015, Vestas signed another order with Eltech Anemos S.A. for the 40 MW Lyrkio project.
