The U.S. and Canadian governments have released the United States-Canada Clean Energy Dialogue Action Plan II, which outlines the next phase of activities the two countries will jointly undertake to advance clean energy technologies.

The plan will focus on the collaboration and sharing of best practices on clean energy research and development, ways to improve the electric grid, carbon capture and storage technologies, and energy-efficiency improvement.

‘The Clean Energy Dialogue strengthens our efforts to collaborate on innovative clean energy solutions that reduce greenhouse-gas emissions,’ says Peter Kent, Canada's minister of the environment. ‘It is our hope that the transformation of our economies and our joint work will identify clean energy solutions that will contribute to making sustainable energy a reality for all.’
