Turbine manufacturer Vestas has received an 83 MW order from Bak Enerji Uretimi for the Yahyali wind project, located in Turkey.

According to Vestas, the order calls for the supply and installation of 25 Vestas V126-3.3 MW wind turbines, as well as a 10-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is planned for the first quarter of 2016, and commissioning is scheduled for the second half of 2016.

Vestas says the V126-3.3 MW model is one of its best-performing wind turbines on low-wind sites. Its 126-meter rotor and cutting-edge structural shell blades enable greater wind capture, which, in turn, produces more energy. Upon completion, the Yahyali wind farm is expected to produce about 303,000 MWh annually.
