AeroTorque Corp., a manufacturing and engineering firm for torsional control products and torque monitoring for wind turbines, has announced a new sales partnership with Frontier Pro Services, a technical services provider to the wind industry.
AeroTorque says the partnership serves to further introduce the company's WindTC asymmetric torsional control and WindTM torque monitoring services to a broader audience in the U.S. wind market. According to AeroTorque, WindTC is designed to retrofit on turbines from 600 kW to 1.5 MW and reduce the effects of torsional reversals to 40% of nominal torque.
"It was a natural fit, to bring the market's top experts in drivetrain inspection and analysis and our unique offering together," says Doug Herr, general manager of AeroTorque. "Their experience with gearbox fleets and contacts in the industry are a win-win for us and for our customers."
