Siemens Gamesa recently secured an order in Mexico for the supply of 100 MW of wind turbines.
The order, secured in the January-March period of this year, came as part of Mexico’s latest wind power auction in November 2017.
The agreement encompasses the installation of 29 units of the firm’s SG 3.4-132 turbines at a wind farm located in the Mexican state of Coahuila. The company will supply the turbines in the first quarter of 2019.

Since entering the Mexican wind market in 1999, the company says it has installed 1,250 wind turbines in the country (more than 2,120 MW).
