The collaboration between Elicio and and Baywa has won the France AO5 tender to develop Pennavel, a commercial floating offshore wind farm located in the south of Brittany off the coast of Lorient.
The award is the outcome of a 2021 competitive tender process for a project of this kind with a capacity between 230 and 270 MW.
The project has been awarded a long-term Contract for Difference and has a grid connection supported by RTE, who is also responsible for the project’s transmission assets, including offshore substation and export cables.
