Second Wind, in partnership with Beijing New Energy Technology Co., has launched its Triton Sonic Profiler in China.
Beijing New Energy Technology is displaying a Triton at China Wind Power 2010, as well as hosting a technical workshop to discuss Triton technology and applications.
‘With a growth rate of over 100 percent per year, China is one of the world's most important wind power markets, both in development potential and technology innovation,’ says Peter Gibson, Second Wind's vice president of sales.
Beijing New Energy Technology will sell, install and service Tritons throughout China. Chinese customers will monitor Tritons remotely through Second Wind's SkyServe Web-based data service using general packet radio service, a service of locally available GSM cellular networks.
After the conference, the Triton will be installed at a HydroChina wind power site near Zhangbei, approximately 300 km northwest of Beijing, to commence a three-month independently verified performance-validation study.
