Subsea cable manufacturer Nexans has opened its Rhode Island office, joining other industry businesses at the Cambridge Innovation Center Providence.
“We are pleased to welcome Nexans to the Ocean State,” says Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee. “This leading global manufacturer and innovator in offshore wind will be a strong addition to the collaborative ecosystem we have built here in Rhode Island.”
Nexans says it joins 30 other offshore wind companies with offices at CIC Providence. The announcement comes as construction is currently underway on the state’s second offshore windfarm, Revolution Wind, which the company is supporting with its export cables.
