Mortenson Canada Corp. is expanding its operations with the opening of a new office dedicated to renewable energy construction projects and services in Canada. The firm plans to open the new office in Mississauga, Ontario, in December. The opening comes as Mortenson launches the construction of its fifth wind power project this year.
Mortenson's new office will be dedicated to developing its renewable energy business throughout Canada. Jason Miranowski, director of operations, will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the new office. He has more than 15 years of experience in civil and industrial construction.
The company's latest wind power project is the Comber Wind Project, which will be built near Lakeshore, Ontario. The company plans to begin construction this month on the 165.6 MW wind power facility for Canadian-based developer Brookfield Renewable Power.
