Berne, N.Y.-based Integrated Environmental Data LLC (IEDat) has expanded its remote sensing services to the wind industry. Kathleen Moore, president of the company, is author of Analysis Tools for LIDAR and SODAR (ATLAS) software for integrating remote sensing data into the wind resource assessment process.
IEDat provides analyses of SODAR, LIDAR and radar data, training in the use of remote-sensing devices and data, and remote sensing database management.
The company also performs environmental assessments, including bird and bat studies, for wind energy projects.
In addition, Moore recently received New York state certification as a woman-owned business enterprise. She has authored numerous papers and presentations on the use of remote sensing in wind resource assessment, for the American Wind Energy Association, as well as for scientific organizations.
