An affiliate of Goldman Sachs has purchased the 15 MW Anderson wind farm from San Diego-based BayWa r.e. Wind, the German developer's U.S. development arm.

The project, located in Chaves County, N.M., was placed into service on Dec. 30 and sells its power to Western Farmers Electric Cooperative under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

BayWa, which acquired the wind farm in Dec. 2013 from Compass Energies, will continue to manage the asset.

‘We are excited to be partnering with Goldman Sachs on this project,’ says Florian Zerhusen, CEO at BayWa. ‘Our next project is currently under construction, and we are actively seeking new acquisition opportunities.’
